visited my dear friend in Hakodate

Michelle and I met Mr. Ichimachi in 2001, we became friends. He is an old gentleman, even though we have language limitation, our Japaness is poor and he can't speak Mandarin, but we still get along with each other very well.

We re-visited him in 2003 and this autumn, end of August. He looked good and excited, so did us. I had been expecting the trip for a long time and did a lot of preparation. So did he, he planed a day trip for us and couldn't wait to see us after I sent him a letter of our flight schedule. When we saw him, we all couldn't help to keep laughing. (I wanted to embrace him but afraid to scare the old man so just didn't do it) The short trip, only five days included with flight hours, was so great! We spent a lot of time together and went around by ourselves for a whole day as well. He took us driving around Hakodate in one day, we couldn't believe he is already 76 years old! He got so much energy!

Of course, we didn't forget to enjoy the delicious sea food. We ate sa-shi-mi(raw sea food) every day! No only eating but also squids fishing in morning market, it was unforgetable experience to us. You can eat what you got after fishing right away. There were many options to go with your squid plate, full of surprised dish selections and good price too!

Time flied by, it is already two monthswe since we came back to Taipei. I miss him and the days we were there. Amazing, isn't it? Different countries, different languages but same feeling with our friendship just like we knew each other for a long time. We can't wait to see him next year!

6/18-24 island tour--TAIWAN

Just came back from my island tour with family, I had traveled around the island, Taiwan, for one week bus trip.

Everyone was exhausted but had a wonderful time in the past week, we kept eating, drinkin and joking, sight seeing, enjoying those luxery hotels, testing delicious food, etc.. And the most important that we shared every moment with our beloved family. We had visited many places, like Traditional Art Center in Ilan, Taroko valley in Huilian, Chihpen hotspring in Taitung, Beaches in Kenting, Love River in Kaoshiung, Sun-Moon Lake and hotspring in Nantou, nice Italian restaurant in Taichung and pottery experience in Miaoli...

I appriciate for my dear family spending their time together and I'm so glad that we always had good weather even though there were raining a lot recently.

My nephew found two kitty and brought them back hom last week. They were so tiny that you almost think they should be baby mice not cat. Eyes not open yet, and the navel string still connected on the belly button. When I held it in hand, I was afraid of I would hurt it if holding too tight... They were too small to breed by human being, I could help to think it this way. I guessed they might only two or three days old.

Unfortunately, only love, a house to stay and goat milk to drink could not keep them alive. They were getting weaker and just past away one by one. I am sad why life is so fragile? Why the animals always need mommy to breed them? Don't they feel how strong our love was? How come they didn't want to stay with us no matter how hard we tried to keep them?

Due to the renovation of our office, I have to work on weekend for the whole April.

I never thought about that I dare to read novels, listen to music, take a nap, play games during working time. But now I can do whatever I want in office... Cause it is weekend and no colleagues here but me! hehe...Working alone on weekend is not that bad, especially I can shift my off-days to weekday then.

Wish I could bring my cat Lucky along with...(still don't get it how to upload the photos to the Blog yet...)
